MPC 2500 DVD Rom

I just installed the DVD rom that Akai distributes. It does not seem to be able to burn anything. As far as I can tell, with the current OS it is a read only drive. Does anyone know if there is a way to burn, and if not, have you heard any rumors about the next OS that may be burn capable.

No burning features yet...but this feature is suppose to come in the future...who knows when.....but there is suppose to be an OS update soon to fix some reported issues...
