I recently got an MPC1000, and I was able to install an XLCD screen on it, but my JJOS looks different than yours. Which version of JJOS are you using in the video?

Probably not, but I can't say I've ever experienced slow load times with a bog standard CF card, all my cards load and save pretty quickly, so I think the key benefit with this adapter is the ability to accept large and cheap SD cards (64GB CF cards are expensive and may not even work with the 1000).
