How or can you make how hard the pad is hit alter the pitch of a sample?

You mean to trigger pitch with velocity? You would have to set up special program to do that. 4 banks = 64 pads x 2 layers gives 128 levels. Now on each and every pad you would have to set two layers.

For 1 pad for example:

sample1 tune -32 velocity 1-1
sample1 tune -31 volocity 2-2

pad 2

sample1 tune - 30 velocity 3-3
sample1 tune -29 velocity 4-4

and so on...

depending on the version of jj you have, you can't.

i believe it's not in 2xl, but it is in 3.

ive often considered switching to 3 just to get that feature (which i heavily relied on on my 2kxl). :mrgreen:
i get around it by using the sliders for variation, but yea i did miss it at first.

i believe its this option on the jj comparison page:
Pressure (MAIN) The value of a TUNE, FILTER and LFO is controllable by the pressure of a pad.
