Slightly complicated question here. Thanks in advance.
When I midi slave sync the MPC to a TT-78 Cyclone drum machine and record in percussive phrases it works fine as long as I'm in midi slave mode.
However, when I record and loop bars of the drum machine audio, and switch the mpc out of slave mode (or unplug the midi cable) the mpc goes out of time, as does the drum phrases. The problem is that the mpc doesn't save or remember the tempo or time signature of the midi clock it was slaved to.
One workaround is to then try to re- sync it by tap tempo while listening to the drum machines beat but this is super finicky.
Is there a smarter workaround for this or a way to record and save the clock being sent to it?
