HELP : Saving Project Directory Error! message - Lost beats

Hi ,
i've been working on a beat ( MPC1000 JJOS 2XL 3.80)
was saving a project before finishing the beat
clicked "replace the same project " as i usually did -
got a message " Directory Error! " - turned off MPC , turned back on hoping that
i would be able to reopen the last saved project.. BUT
CF card became invisible by MPC !?
So, plugged CF card into Mac - Unredable message - format or eject options.
the CF Card been working fine since a year - Kingston CompactFlash 4GB

Did i just lost bunch of beats from last few years or are they still on the CF card or what happened?

Replying to myself , in case someone will need help as me

Yesterday i,ve tried some Data recovery progs on PC
could recover only old files from past years
accept the 2024 beats that i was working on before the error happened -
they were at the end of the CF card i guess..bad sectors and probably or to old CF card.

hard lesson learned - need to back up all my cards more often.
