output from pads and sequencer dead after re-installing OS

Help!

I had agreed to sell my mpc 1k and as a courtesy I reinstalled the Akai 2.1 OS (I had been running the JJ 3.05 beta version.) Upon rebooting witht he Akai OS my they output from the sequencer and pads seems dead?!?!?!?! I can preview sounds from the hardrive just fine and also from the TRIM window, but nothing works in from the main program song or mixer windows.

Does anyone have any idea what could be going on. The fact that sound is playing back in certain windows leads me to think its a software problem but ive reinstalled both OSs and nothing works.

oddly enough the metronome seems to be working fine.

Yes. I've reinstalled both OSs

try the reset.
i think it is: hold [delete] + boot the mpc
but i am not sure.

POWER ON whilst holding the ERASE key. Do it after every install.
