Mono w/mute groups or Note on

Can samebody explain the difference please, because as of right now all I have been messing with is is Note on. Also is there a way to globally adjust pitch versus that of just per pad in the program edit? Also what about a global pad volume adjustment versus that of having to adjust from 70 per pad every time? Thanks for all your help and answers to my questions

there isn't a way to adjust everything at once, but the numeric button can speed things up once you get use to using it.. I wish there was a select all on the 500
