what up,

first off glad to be part of the community. i came across something weird. in the quick start manual it reads that you can sync an lfo to the bpm value of a sequence. can't find it anywhere. anybody?

Better check in the official manual for that. Quick manual is for dudes that are gifted on the 500.

yeah I've checked both of them. it's only mentioned in the quick start manual. but I've also checked the mpc comparison chart and it says that a lfo is not available in the 500. but I've created a workaround for this.

I know this is an old thread and the chances of getting an answer really small.
But I would really like to now what is the workaround for the lfo

You can sync tremolo, autopan & delay... No LFO effect is available.

I'm intrigued by the workaround, though! Care to elaborate?

The mpc500 don't have an LFO. For this you need to be creative in the sequencer section :-)

You can enter qlink filter events in step edit mode. But I would recommend something else. The 500 seems not to be designed for that.

Only workaround I know is resampling and making bunch of little 2 to 4 bar sequences and knowing when to trigger samples over them when recording into a DAW.
