Let's assume you have like 30 samples loaded and you want to edit a certain slice of a loop but it's hard to find in trim mode while you scroll through all these samples since you have tuned it in program mode for example it sounds not more like the original. In this case you can enter program mode, select sample assign and then hit the pad with the dedicated sample. After that you enter trim mode and your sample is already selected for editing. Hopefully this is explained good enough? :hmmm:

Good one, thanx. Much more convenient than scrolling and looking for your sample in trim mode...
