Someting strange is going on with my mpc500.

Alle my pads work okay, when I'm in [program] mode I can assign samples to pad A1, A2, A3 etc. This works fine from pad A1 to pad D12..

But when I'm in realtime record mode, or step record mode some pads get recorded as pads from another bank.

My B8 pad is recorded as B3 and plays the sample asigned to B3.
My C4 pad is recorded as B1 and plays the sample asigned to B1.
My C5 pad is recorded as B2 and plays the sample asigned to B2.

So basicly I have 3 pads that I can't use for samples. This is strange. Is this a bug or can I fix it in the settings?

I'm using OS v 1.31, and my mpc500 had 128 mb ram.

Okay, I found out what the problem was: those 'buggy' pads had the same note assigned as the other ones. So I changed it in program edit and now everything works...

Make a template. In a program assign all pads notes how you want them to be, no samples, save that in AUTOLOAD folder. Now every time you startup it will load up and you start from there with every project.

Yeah, I just made an autoload file. I made the right pad assignments, mono/poly settings, pad level, midi out channel, fx settings etc.

I now boot up my mpc500 and I'm ready to go :-)
