thats why i left the mpc1000 man a mpc shouldnt have pad problems man there the best at them

if the result is good (the song you're making) the pads don't concern me, it's just a matter of feeling like your tools are shiny. mpc1000 pads don't have a "sound."

99% of the time all my stuff is on full level because i choose velocity in either pad layer or i just set it to a different pad w/ a lil attack and lower vel. i have a much higher expectation from the machine's software than its hardware...

you could have NASA pads but if your hardware isn't fully actualized by the os (most noteably the qlinks in recent machines, or aftertouch when it comes to pads), then it's kind of unnecessary and damn near wasted.
