files being deleted at startup

when i add different samples and folders to my mpc 500 i save them but when i shut it off and then turn it on the samples and folders arent their anymore. i dont know if im saving it the wrong way or not. can someone please help me out with this.

saving and loading are 2 seperate things. I suggest re-reading 'loading..' in the manual. you can also set autoload to load your programs as soon as you start the mpc.

but turning off the machine and turning it back on wont bring your sounds back. the 500 must know where to load them from.
