Fingers crossed I'm sure he will at some point. I read somewhere that the 500 has the same parts as the 1000 so hopefully it'll be fairly easy?? Thanks for getting back to me.

JJ might do a OS and fix the bugs of akai OS, but cause of little screen I think he cant uprade the functions as much as 1000 and 2500.
I really like the idea of 500 but I think its too limited for me, I wish it wasn't.

what i'd love is to have NUMBERS in track mute screen.

instead of the small dots
. . . . . . . . . . . .
M . . . . M M . . . . .

should be maybe
. 2 3 4 5 . . 8 9 10 11 12

you would see right away which track is on/off - would def make muting more easy. yes, now there is tiny tiny numbers below the dots in the face plate but hardly visible (in a dark club expecially)

small details make things better... ;)

wow i hope so, would really push the 500 to cult status methinks...

things i would like

* small font
* recordable track mutes/solos
* more qlink options (gimme errthang, INCLUDING the all new real-time, on playback AND record quantize, note shift, swing and timing correct hell yes can i get an amen break rip dilla)
* anything else that can be dragged over from the 1k os and still make sense on the 500

I'll co-sign that!

I'd also like seperate bank switching for the mute screen so I could change sample banks without affecting which bank the mute screen operates in..

A way to control volume and pan for each track would be super cool. Also if you can also send cc91 and cc93 for each track would be even more cool.
