Nice replies everyone, I suspected as much. I don't hit my pads hard at all, but I'm also hoping to not have to use the Full Level all the time.
I'll have a play with setting the pad sensitivity and then try the electrical tape trick and then just bite the bullet. I've also got a spare set of pads from a 3k that I might try.
Really enjoying being back on the mpc though - I don't think the 5k is perfect but it's so powerful I can forgive it. Anything to stop clicking around with a mouse.
