The links came from the Akai site.
Find a Reaper one.
oh lampdog, you know i love you and that ballin' gold writing.
First you need to set up sync between the MPC and Reaper:
(I'm assuming you're just wanting to record the audio from the MPC in Reaper, not the MIDI)
1. Connect the MPC MIDI Out to the MIDI In of the audio device for your PC.
2. In Reaper, select Options > Preferences > Audio > MIDI Devices.
3. Right-click on the name of the MIDI Device the MPC is connected to and select Enable Input.
4. Click OK.
5. Select Options > External Timecode Synchronization > Synchronization settings.
6. Select Enable synchronization to timecode.
7. Select Start playback on valid timecode when stopped.
8. Select the name of the MIDI Device your MPC is connected to from the Use input drop-down list.
9. Click anywhere outside this window to close it (for some reason there is no OK or Apply button in this window).
Reaper will now sync to the MTC signal from your MPC. The play button in Reaper's transport will now show the word "sync" to indicate that sync is enabled.
From this point, you just need to route the audio outputs from your MPC to inputs in Reaper and record-enable them. Place Reaper into Record mode, and it will start recording as soon as you press play on the MPC.
Once you've finished recording, select Options > External Timecode Synchronization > Synchronization enabled to disable sync and return playback control to Reaper.
