Mixing tip of the day: degrading sample rate for clarity.
This may appear a bit radical at first, and not everybody is into lo-fi aesthetics, but with the right amount, this method can be great for adding presence to hihats, cymbals, pads, 808 bass, etc. When I first heard about this, I thought it was odd, but have been using it a lot subtly.

I use this trick a lot when I make beats on the iPad with beatmaker2. I use the bitcrusher and it works quite well.. good seeing this tutorial, makes me happy knowing I'm on the right track
