nah this is the real deal the image was taken from the guitar center web site; and the look is similar to the push controllers for abelton which I understand akai had a hand in designing.

but we are told this is not the only item to be announced so this might be the mpc studio replacement with the ren2 yet to be seen.

Looks kinda ugly, but I'm sure mpcstuff can make it look dope. I think it's a dope idea. Simple.

Well, it looks... contemporary. I like it. Nice form factor.

If it's standalone it could be the gear of the year. Not like the Electribe 2 and Novation toys and disappointments.

But we also know that Akai is very good in creating hype.
