Track Mute wont work

my track mute on my mpc wont work for some reason after that update what the hell is going on?? when I hit record and hit play start. It will play the beat and when I get to the part I want to mute it doesn't record it. I try everything

I think there's a bug, it hasn't worked since a few versions ago. Lemme double check...
