Synth VST Editor

Anyone using an vst editor with their hardware synth in the mpc software to control automation tweaks? Not sure about how to get it to work since on midi tracks there are no plugin slots to add the editor.

I have the soundtower vst editor for prophet 08 and I want to do some automation tweaks on it.
