Velocity Sensitivity setting info

Hi, I was just about to go for MPC Touch but need to be sure first the Velocity to Amp modulation works as it should. Can someone confirm if adjusting AMP knob on the Velocity Sensitivity setting page to zero (not sure if zero is at noon or fully counterclockwise) does the following: with a keygroup multisampling program where there are more samples (each with it's own velocity range) assigned to each pad / keyboard midi key, do they respond to and get switched by registered velocity and at the same time the volume stays the same (that is full level) on all switched samples?

This setting is very important to me so please someone let me know
