I am having problems with timing. I can`t get the timing right. The latency is at 4ms lowest. But after I record it`s off. Is it better with a standalone unit? Like the Akai Mpc live? I need to get the drums right. With feel.

Not a pro, but the live feels just like any other mpc I used. Haven't used any software stuff, but I know the soundcard can cause issues in that area. When the got my midi keys, I checked out some of the vsts that came with, there was latency until I changed to a better sound card.

You must have a problem with ya config because with the touch on my pc drums are as tight as I play them even at 64/128 sample buffer size . (With time correction off of course.)

The mpc live is a stand alone so no latency configuration needed when you're working stand alone. Not sure how it is in controller mode.
