Giving Akai benefit of the doubt ended when they released the MPC1000 and has been further solidified by every MPC released since then.
They make enough hollow promises to try to divert attention or diffuse a situation but have yet to deliver what they promise;

Just remember when dealing with Akai ALWAYS wear a condom.

Right now AKAI could at least improve their ASIO driver to make it compatible with USB 3.0 and solving the absurd latency issues.
