MPC Renaissance malfunctions when changing mode.

Trying to get this renaissance working and I’m having one serious issue. It works fine when I open the software and load drums onto the pads, but as soon as I try to change into sample edit or any other mode it malfunctions. I’m new to the MPC series, if anyone could help me resolve this issue I’d really appreciate it. Thanks.
