I was training at finger drumming and wanted to record quickly myself inside the mpc (not in a sequence).

With the looper it s handy but mono and limited to 1 minute.

With audiotracks I think it s not possible anymore. If I remember well I did it in the past but it seems that MAIN OUT for INPUT THRU has been removed.

So I did it in record mode but pressing 3 times the stop button to stop long samples won t work. I had to press cancel first, then 3*STOP, then record. It s time wasting and boring when it s a repetitive task.

I to came up with same method as you le rat. and confirm the behaviour. I did not think it was a bug. I tried using a mute pad set up in this case, kind was boring to stop after getting into it, but found that if i set up a pad that is set to mute the other pads with the long samples it works great. More than four long samples means you might have to use mute groups instead of mute targets. Also means one less pad, so you got only 15 with samples, last pad is silent but set up to mute other pads with long sample.
Works for me real good, so I hope it works for you to.
