well, you could use Bank A for the left 16 tracks and Bank B for the right side.
well, if you're going to be hitting the bank buttons anyway, why not switch the views like it works currently?
this request doesn't save much in the way of key presses. what it saves you in the way of remembering what is muted/unmuted on bank a, it adds in the form of having to calculate mentally that pad 1 no more just controls the lower left track. now you have to check whether you have bank a or b button selected and then remember that if it's the b bank selected, pad 1 is now controlling the middle right area on the bottom.
see what i mean? it saves you having to remember one thing but it makes you have to remember another. plus it subverts the basic 4x4 pad to track layout which is great for muscle memory and quick and easy interaction.
