Hi,
Recently I've made many beats.
I've noticed a little lag in NDC in TRIM.
For instance when I have a long drum break with chops that I play on the fly.
Anyone noticed that kind of lag too?

yeah i have, so i just give it a sec to do its thing now cos I am chopping big files and it also lags when you make a new program from sample edit window chop function.

I wanted to report it but didn't find a recipe to be sure to feel the lag at 100%.
Murai told me he has no problem with long samples in his MPC.
If you could send him something lagging it would be appreciated :)

I think I've found an issue with ZOOM.
Could you check this please?

latest OS version (os2xl3.45 for me)
-Load a sample
-ZOOM OUT MAX
-Strike pad A5 as fast as possible
-ZOOM IN MAX
-Strike pad A5 as fast as possible

In my MPC i can feel a lag at ZOOM OUT MAX compared to ZOOM MAX IN. What about yours?

Thx

I have encountered both the lags on my MPC2500 and I think you shouldn't complain. The machine is now 8 years old and the CPU can not be compared with nowadays power. I m sure JJ anyways optimized the hell out of the CPU with his software.

Well I'll ask if it's a limitation or if it's possible to fix it.

You can hear it better when I turn the camera towards the mixer.

Indeed, it's a limitation for long samples caused by the time needed to calculate and display waveforms.

For long samples it takes more time to show waveforms.
Each time a pad is stricken there is a calculation, potentially causing audio delays when it's hit too quickly.
At ZOOM IN MAX there's nothing much to show. Therefore no delay.

No sure but I think it could be the reason why I had lags in NDC with long samples.

And I was wondering what about OS3. Since both channels are shown, "theoritically" it could be worse. Will ask the question then.
