Next Seq doesn't work if you use overdub in the main screen...

I have a midi track controlling an external drum machine, I layer up a new beat on an empty track and then return to play made, next seq button doesn't work.

Only works after I've hit stop which is useless.

I had this reply 2 weeks ago

Thank you for the report of a bug.

>A 1- main screen
>2- press play + overdub (on)
>3- press Overdub (off)
>4- result...Pressing Next Seq impossible until pressing stop

This is not a bug but specification.
Even if it turns OFF OVERDUB during recording, MPC is in the recording state which does not record an event.
(This is for changing into the same state as a play, without stopping MPC.)
Therefore, inside MPC, it is still in a recording state.
Therefore, change of a sequence cannot be performed. (OS of AKAI is also the same.)

didn't we just have a bug fix for the mute screen bank select bug? cos I still have bug where its the wrong bank, or does not respond to bank change in mute screen.
annoying as.
And yeah you can not do a few things after overdub, like change sequence ect. its in the manual and is not a bug.
