Sally, every bug I've reported has been corrected, sooner or later. But you can't expect them to be corrected right away, really.

You must realize it is very hard to follow your bug report videos. I'm sorry, but it is not always very clear what you're trying to say. It is not easy to express complicated ideas in a foreign language - I'm not a native english speaker either, so trust me, I know.

LOOPER bug OS2 XL 3.07

1) New project
2) Make simple 2 bar drum sequence
3) go to looper, start recording, stop, plaback
4)go back to main - crash or freeze

I tried doing that with slight variations, almost always get a freeze

Following a bug report from a member called martin in that same topic in August, I had a similar screen :

I reported it to JJ's assistant and he told me he could do nothing and he said we shoud not go from the main screen to the looper mode and vice and versa.

As a result he added some notes in the online manual :
Notes
In a looping recorder mode, all are pronounced by a mono. (Use in a stereo cannot be performed)
The sample of a stereo is also pronounced by mono.
The time which can be recorded at one time is a maximum of 1 minute.
Moreover, in looping recorder mode, ON/OFF of the FULL LEVEL button and change of a value cannot be performed.
While playing back a sequence, please do not go to looping recorder mode from the main. (It may not work normally.)
While playing back a sequence, please do not go to main from the looping recorder mode. (It may not work normally.)

Rate of a click does not work other than 1/4.

so I guess it's something that needs a lot of time and effort to fix.
Weird thing is that the mpc does not crash or freeze all the time when going back and forth from main to looper while playback is on.

Yes you're right.

If you have a look at the old bug fix page prior to os2xl 3.XX versions you can see there were many bug fixes concerning the looper.

I still wish audiotracks were looping like in older os1 versions, but in the meantime lots of features had been added in the main screen and other modes so I guess it's almost dead.

I did notice when you go from some screens to others it stops the sound. Could this be what is causing the issue.

hmm, never tried os1.How were they looping? Like in looper?

When you use an audiotrack if LOOP=ON the recording will stop at the end of the sequence. If LOOP=OFF the recording will continue and add extra bars to the sequence.

It's one of the reasons why the looper mode was added

On old os1 versions audiotracks were looping if the sequence was supposed to loop. At that time the behavior of audiotracks was totally different though.
