Samples will not load on my MPC Ren

My samples will not load onto my pads. Ive draged and dropped, tried to load it from the unit. I've virtually tried everything. Before I send it back to Akai, I want to ensure that I not missing something. Please help.

Try sampling something yourself that's a pretty direct method to test assigning.
