hola
my first post on this seemingly knowledge-powered board and -shame on my - it's a question.
i just got my mpc3000 with VGA extension so I can connect it to a monitor. now strangely I have a damn old monitor which works fine and a like 5 yrs old flat-monitor with VGA that doesnt properly work when connected to my mp (i see a screen from time to time, but only for a second and then it disappears again)...is something wrong with my flat or is is the MP only able to connect to old and big monitors?
thanks in advance

Well I know old CRT's work for sure but the slightly older flat screens like the first ones some of them will work.

Nothing wrong with your MPC 3000 I have vga option in mine also and it's very picky with which monitors it likes...
I'm sure there is a post round here somewhere with a guy with flat screen hooked up. Maybe then from there you can get model number and see if you can hook one up from ebay..
peace, K...

Do you know what other models work? Somehow it seems like the VS15 is quite hard to get over here in germany, and I dont wannas pay 70bucks for shipping on a 20 bucks monitor to get it from the US e.g....would be appreciated!

Anything is "possible" if you dump enough money into it. It's a little more than hooking up a few wires to a VGA connector to get it to work.
Akai tested the market out with the VGA output on the 3k and realized there were better things they could with their resources to make money.
If you want MPC control and visual output on a computer screen buy a MPD24.

Yeah because everyone knows that the MPD is the same as having and MPC. RIGHT?
