Cool ...

Yes floppy disks are pain of sorts ... :-)

Suggest you review other posts in this forum and also the MPC60 and MPC3000 forums at groups.yahoo.com about why you will have trouble with ZIP and FIXED mpc formatted SCSI drives under Windows 2000/Windows XP.

Have fun ...

ive done some searching..
alot of disks i make from mpc editor wont load, they say the files are damaged.. the only kit ive gotten to work is an 808 kit i downloaded for the mpc1k and ran it through mpc-editor with the convert to 12-bit option on..

do they have to be a certain type of wav file or something before ran through the mpc-editor to make floppies ?

thanks..

The MPC editor is only supposed to work with the upgraded OS, 3.10

Not sure if your machine has that. See if you can just convert the wav's to SND with wav to snd availabl for free from the same site as the editor and build your programs manually.

I've messed up some floppies when transfering snd's to them in XP as well, don't know why. Like half the disks I formatted on my MPC60 two days ago won't work at all now.
