You can't just use any old 1.44mb floppy drive and disks without modification. But try if you want. Hence the many threads like this.

Hey everyone,

I've received some great advice. Apparently this place is a great source for NEW (modified) floppy drives for the MPC60 that will work perfectly - http://floppy.shugart.free.fr/page.php? ... /pa_en.htm

I was advised that if I don't have a large library already on floppies (or you're willing to start fresh with your samples), then a Gotek USB floppy emulator is an amazing solution that will work perfectly in the MPC60 as well. It makes sense that this is a more "future proof" solution - http://www.gotek.in
