Thinking about buying an ASQ-10, saw one for a really nice price. Anybody got one ? Recommendations, things to watch out for ?

Im familiar with using a MPC, owned a 2000xl previously. I dont need the pads, etc.., just the sequencer.

Cheers.

I've got one.

It's an MPC60 without the sampler.

IE: Just the sequencing engine.

It's great.

Watch out for failed LCD backlights, non-working front panel buttons and usual signs of physical damage.

From memory, check that the OS is around 2.12 or 2.13.

One solid and reliable piece of machinery.

Cool, Thx :)

What about no track mutes ? Is there a way around that ?

Track mutes are handled in a different way.

Just have to think different about how you do your arranging and how your live performances are managed from a use point of view.

Suggest maybe that you download a manual for an ASQ10/MPC60 and have a look at how this issue is dealt with.

Cool.
