viewtopic.php?f=42&t=166922A filter is a filter, regardless of its type. Nobody said it was complicated either. People use different techniques on different types of sample, to get different results. I'm glad there are some experts here willing to discuss their thoughts on the first MPC to have a filter built-in.
Not everyone is expert in understanding the technical aspects of what the MPC3000 LP filter can do and its application in a real world setting. Some may not understand what RESONANCE is, what the controls of an ENVELOPE do, or even what 12 DB PER OCTAVE actually means. People discuss filters here all the time, that doesnt mean they don't know how to use a filter, it means there is interest in learning and sharing information.
The "for dummies" connection was a joke stemming from a recent thread that evolved into discussion about filters. Hopefully that discussion can continue here, if anybody actually uses their so-called "collector's item".
