Share your knowledge on these two classic MPCs

I have an MPC3000 with Vailixi and I replaced the internal floppy drive with an SD card reader. As handy as the card reader is, it can be a bit difficult to keep my files organized. The 1.44MB per floppy disk was usually enough to keep a whole beat on there and it made it MUCH easier to keep track of everything.

Now, I know there is an external SCSI port. Would it be possible to attach and use an external floppy drive while retaining use of my internal SD card drive?

Furthermore, even if it were possible, is it feasible to find a floppy drive for a decent price? A cursory search on the internet didn't turn anything up, and I'm not really looking to spend $150+ on a floppy drive.

Any feedback is appreciated.

I make a list of what all my partitions contain, in a book.

Like:

A - BREAKS01.PGM, BREAKS01.PRJ

B - 707.PGM, 606.PGM, MOON01.PRJ, MOON02.PRJ

C -DXAH.PRJ, SP12.PGM

D
E
F
etc..

I'd be lost without it as I currently have 5 CF cards in use.

Yeah I'll probably have to do something like this. Havent found much in the way of external floppy drives, only external ZIP drives and that wouldn't fix the problem at all.

Thanks for the advice
