If I remember correctly they are the 6x6x5mm 4-legged tact switches. The same as the 3000, 2000/XL, ASR-10 tact switches.
Pay a little more and go with the sealed OMRON switches.

*** OMRON switches (#B3W-1020 or #B3W-1022).

It should be noted that the omron switches do not have the 'sharp' feeling click that you get like you do with the default/alps switches that are on most MPCS. This may or may not be a factor to some people but I thought it would be worth mentioning.

There is no doubt that omron is high quality stuff though.

I bought some four pin tact switches by alp on mouser not that long ago as I replaced all the switches in my MPC 60. I need to find the link to it but I got it on a thread about finding tact switches for a 3000 on this site when I searched google.

Thanks for the fast replies guys!;)

Im asking about the mentioned ones because i got about hundred in my archive, so no need to buy new ones.

If i looked right, the play start stop etc buttons are the same small switches, right?

Because on the newer models they used different sized ones on the transport buttons.

If someone needs the right address for ordering them in germany just tell me, i know a good seller for that farnell stuff.

Hey,
Just about to order some tact switches to ship to Australia. What's the difference between OMRON B3W-1020 and B3W-1022?

Both are the same 6x6x5mm size. The -1020 has white plunger cap with a regular force of pressure to actuate. The -1022 has a yellow plunger cap with a slightly heavier force of pressure to operate.

When replacing tacts on MPC2000XL and ASR-10, I always buy the Omron -1022 (6x6x5mm) & -4005 (12x12x4.3mm) for heavy gorilla handed people.

For the Start/Stop type buttons, I have used the OMRON B3W-4000 and for all other regular size tacts, I've used B3F-1022.

When using ALPS, I prefer to use SKHHAMA010 which is to spec with what is listed in the service manuals, and for the Start/Stop buttons I use SKQEAD010.

It's debatable that OMRON is higher quality than ALPS but the only thing I noticed was that the plunger sound on the batch I have was slightly quieter. Either ALPS or OMRON will suit you just fine.
