Help me out here fellas...

Sampled a 5 second tune at a size of195k

I want to chop it up in say 10 pieces:
I can edit the sound, but when I try to save the edit, even a .5 sec chop is "saving" as if it were the full 195k entire sample?

How do you maximize your memory so that your small chops don't rack up full sample size memory?

I assume you changed the soft start/soft end value of the sample. Have you deleted the section before and/or after? If not: move your cursor to "Do:" (lower right) and change the value to "DEL BEFR SOFT ST" or "DEL AFTR SFT END" and press <Do> (Soft key 4). After that the sample will be much smaller.

Playing around with a friends 3.15, the truncate before and after soft start and end is a great time saver.
