Samples stop triggering after sequence loops?

A recent sequence I made will play the full 8 bars perfectly but once it loops from the end of bar 8 to the beginning of bar 1, the sequence continues to play but the samples will no longer trigger.

I tried getting around this issue by copying sequences/individual bars to try and recreate the sequence but to no avail. Setting up an "Edit Loop" doesn't get rid of the issue either. I dug through step edit but couldn't find anything out of the ordinary.

Is anyone familiar with this issue?

OK, I noticed that this problem didn't occur when I soloed each track.

I was able to get around it by copying the events in each track to a new, blank sequence so the problem is resolved, but if anyone knows what happened here, I'd love to find out just for the sake of knowledge
