Hi, I'm looking into a 3000, and trying to determine how much RAM is installed.

I thought it would be shown on the load screen, which just says that version 3.11 is installed.

Can anyone tell me where to find how much RAM it's got?

Thanks in advance.

IE: Cold boot. Nothing loaded.

Then ...

Insert a disk with some MPC3000 format *.SND files on. ( don't load any ).

1: DISK > 7

The machine will display the amount of free RAM for *.SND, *.SET, *.ST2, *.PGM, *.APS if any of these types are selected on screen for loading.

2: PROGRAMS/SOUNDS > 9

The SAMPLE DUMP will show available amount of RAM in MEGAWORD's rather than MEGABYTES like option 1.

3: PROGRAMS/SOUNDS > 5

Read off the maximum amount of sampling time that you can enter to get an idea how much RAM is installed.

For a MONO sample selected in this screen.

Divide the seconds showing by 60 and then multiply by 5.

The resulting figure will be the rougly very close to how much ram is installed in MEGABYTES.

4: Open the machine up and chek what RAM is installed.

That is all...

Rohan.
