Ey forum! My name is Sigurd, and i've just copped the mpc 60mkii.
I really like how the interface is set up, and the mpc60-sound is just so dirty.
BUT
When i've recorded some tracks to my sequence, i go to sample new sound, and then when i return to mainscreen with my new sample, all of the tracks are deleted and the whole sequence has been recalled to default settings.

All my sounds are there, but none of the programming.

How can i solve this?
Please help. :)

Thank you - Sigurd.

this is just the way it is with OS 2.12 and even 2.14 ... if you get OS 3.10 or higher it will not happen.

What you need to do for now is save your sequence on floppy disk before sampling... then reload it. it is a small file so it doesn't take too long at least.

No. The OS on the mpc 60 can only be updated by replacing the EPROM chips inside the machine. It comes on 4 chips that need to replace the existing OS chips.

Downloading the software online and doing a firmware update via USB is more of a recent thing than what was done in the era of the MPC 60.
