MPC60 sending gate/trig out

This is something that has driven me crazy for years now. I have a bunch of synths that will respond to gate signals and triggers, for instance, the arpeggiator inputs of the Korg Poly-61, Akai AX-60, Kong Poly-800, etc. All of these I am able to trigger with the CV/Gate outs of my MPC Live II. One would think, that you could sample those Gate signals from the Live into the 60, and run said sample out of one of the assignable outputs, and it would work.

Only it's never worked for me. Something happens when sampling any sort of CV or gate signal. I love my 60, it's a vintage powerhouse but I wish I could get it to play nice with some of my older analog gear.

I've seen varying stuff online, of people claiming that certain samples worked for them. Then I try sampling those gates/pulses and it still doesn't work. Do any of you guys do this successfully? What am I missing

You need DC coupling to record CV... the voltage levels are different as well... so you're going to get clipping of CV data... or possibly fry the MPC

Definitely don't want to fry the MPC, so are you saying its impossible to successfully sample CV?
