C`mon guys, chime in.

You know that the 3K doesn't have an internal SCSI port for this adapter, right?

I honestly kind of guesstimated on this part but thank god it all came out perfect.

I connected the all red wire from the 2.5'' drive connected to the all red wire from the MPC board. Then the yellow to the white/baby blue one and for the two black wires; since I already knew which ones connected to red and yellow; I just lined up the wires and connected the black ones to the red/white, black/white respectively. It all worked 100%.

to clarify this, 100%

since the black wires are grounds, it doesn't specifically matter which way you connect the black wires. you just have to make sure you connect the 12v to the 12v (yellow & wht/bby blue) and the 5v to the 5v (red)

It's is now 100% fully functional. I wanted it internal out of convenience but I still wanted to be able to access all of the stuff I've saved on zip's through the port in the back. I was able to find all of the supplies and operate on this thing myself with almost no electronics experience and it came out excellent! If you're brave enough to open your MPC, then this should be cake for you.

I know some people have been complaining about not being able to find some of the parts; so here's the ribbon cable you'll need:

the internal to external adapter (which you'll need two of):

and the gender changer:

If anyone has questions on how to do this, feel free to ask!

Hey I have a question, I have an Mpc 2000xl of course i purchased a multi card reader when purchased it I also purchased the floppy connector power cable which the multi card reader needs but at the other end it was a molex connector, which doesnt fit to the mother board where the original power cable connected to. I have been trying to figure out the name of that particular connector (the one on the mpc 2000xl mother board) can you or ay of you help me on figuring out the name of it? Some one said I can get a bridge, Im trying to find a power cable which has a floppy connector and on the other end the connector that connects to the mpc 2000xl mother board. I do have images of what I have but Im new to this forum and do not know how to upload images.
