A guide for those wanting to replace the screen in their S900, if foil has degraded or inverter is dead. You can buy a blue background white script LCD display for $8 from buydisplay. First take the lid off, and place screws in a safe place. The take the faceplate scews off, and the ones anchored to the motherboard, you want to remove the inverter

Now remove the old screen, you need to cut those two red and white wires that lead to the inverter. The white wire is the 5 v line. On the left hand side of the screen is the P401 clip, again the white wire is the 5 v line,

Here is the old screen, see the 14 pin connector, you need that part, and can de-solder it, with a de-solder pump or solder braid

The inverter is not needed with the new lcd screen, but you can recycle the wires.

This is the screen I found from this company, $8, notice it has 16 pins. The top 2 pins (15 and 16) are where you solder the two wires from the P401 clip, the bottom white wire goes to pin 15, the grey/white to pin 16. The 14 pin connector is soldered to pins 1-14.

The end result, actually appears a lot better than the photo here...and one more. Notice in the bottom left position below the screen, the bottom white clip is supplying the power, 5 volts, it is the bottom white wire that you solder to pin 15. The clip is P401.
