Hello out there.
I know there are some threads about theese old crunchy samplers around, but I hope noone has anything against me startin my own thread for my own need.
Im looking for a 12-bit sampler that adds this crunchy/dirty/warmth sound to my samples and drums. Im making like early 90's hip hop beats, pretty much influenced by funk and jazz (Like ATCQ, Gang Starr, De La Soul, Main Source etc.) The main equipment in my studio are my vinyls, my Technics 1210 and my MPC 1000.
I guess that floppy is the thing when lookin at this old school samplers, so how you guys think about the workflow together with my USB based MPC1000, does it work well, or do you think I should trade the MPC1000 for a MPC2000(XL)?
I can say now that I cant spend too much money on this. A maximum of 300-400 dollars.
Well met!
