please help me with getting started with AkSys and Aki S6k

hello to you all

i need someone's help to manage AkSys and AKAI S6k to get it work.
it's really frustrating, would be great if one of you experienced user could help.

i have the USB card installed, windows 8.1 running on parallels on mac osx.

Not sure if Aksys works on Windows 8, success is more likely with an older OS like Win XP. A lot of MPC4000 owners use Aksys, check out the threads there for compatibility issues and confirmations.

There are other threads on Aksys, but this gets straight to the point about Windows 8.

the thing is i don't know much about windows cause i'm natively mac user = never, ever worked on windows.

so basically, do i need to put some usb drivers to "see" my S6k at all? maybe that's the problem as well... and i should start with that?

i have a files akS56USB.inf and akS56USB.sys - what should i do with it?

Its all explained in the first post of that thread.

As I said, you will need a copy of Windows XP to get it working.
