AKAI S20 AUDIO THROUGH QUESTION.

I have just got hold of an Akai s20 and was wondering if there is a way of hearing the input audio through the unit before you hit the the record button.

No.
When you press the RECORD button the machine goes into RECORD STANDBY. That allows you to hear the audio coming through and set your level.
It doesn't actually start recording till you press a BANK button.
