i've been quieter on forums lately, sharing less tips and strategies and working instead on music, programming, and learning new things...
however, i have to share this amazing find.
http://bigcatinstruments.blogspot.com/2 ... vstis.html
these are free, simple, individually wrapped, small VSTis that make use of the beautiful free orchestra sample pack called "Sonatina Symphony Orchestra"
i only discovered SSO today in SFZ format, which requires a bit more end user work. bigcat has helped us out by packaging each instrument in its own vsti....64 bit, too!
i love simplicity when it comes to sampled acoustic instruments, which is why this is absolutely perfect for me.
i prefer these to many commercial options. just listen to this demo -- the realism is fantastic.
