S950 booting up issue.

Hello there,

forgive me if this issue has a really obvious solution, I am not much of a - tinkering around with the guts of machines - type guy, but nonetheless..

My 950 has gathered dust for some time now but still gets occasional use (basically to get something sounding like gravel). I turned it on the other day (no floppy disc mounted) and was first greeted by this:

No buttons allowed me to navigate away from this menu or enter any commands, so it was essentially just frozen telling me this message.

Upon re-booting, I get the following blanked out screen, with all LEDs lit.

I'm sure a seasoned Akai sampler user will know what is afoot here. It seems to be stuck in the Utility page or something.
If anyone has any thoughts on it I would be hugely grateful.

I guess the button utility is stuck. The first pic show the uility menu. I just tried to recreate it and when I press and hold the utility button and turn on my 950 it shows exactly what your second pic shows. All LEDs on and the blocks on the display.
Solution:
If you konw how to work with electronics you can do it by yourself
pull all cables and take off the case and the front of the unit and use some contact cleaner from crc or the wd40 ecelctronic!! cleaner (not the blue can which include oil) or a qtip dipped in isopropyl on the button and press it a few times. let it dry for a few minutes and put the case back on. It should work again.

EDIT: I Just tried it with the other buttons to and the behaviour is the same so it might be another button is stuck.
