Ian were you able to successfully move the data as well? I'm curious because I want to try this with my Yamaha AW16G.

Hi Mike,
Yes. Everything works perfectly. No file corruption. It isn't faster and it is not slower. I now have lots of memory space and I am no longer worried about bearings or noise, or any other moving parts in the older style HDD breaking down.
I did a lot of research on SSD vs HDD. The newer ssd is much more reliable than the ones made around 2009. The newer SSD should last many terabytes worth of in and out of data. So this should in theory be the last time you will need to worry about a drive failing. Unless you are recording, deleting, and working with thousands of gigs worth of material.
Cheers,
Ian
