It's been a while since I owned a S1000 and Zip drive... I've forgotten how to hook them up and needless to say i can't get the thing working. Does anyone have a set of instructions to help me get this thing up and running?
Current settings
Zip SCSI ID - 5
Termination - ON
Connected via 50pin centronics from Akai to the 'G' looking logo port on the zip drive (not sure if thats the right one)
Akai OS 4.4
Akai SCSi ID 1
Akai - SCSI Drive ID 5
I have the S1000 HD in it but the HD is removed and the cables still connected - not sure if that's a problem
I can't even get the zip drive orange light to blink, I seem to remember when going through the disk menu it used to blink to show it was communication
Any help would be helpful
